As the Ultraman franchise continues its quest to become a worldwide phenomenon, this will be an unforgettable holiday for anyone who has ever thrilled to the adventures of the Giants of Light.   On July 10, 1966, one week before the first episode of Ultraman aired on TV, a special promotional event named Ultraman Eve: The Birth of Ultraman was filmed in front of a live audience at Suginami Koukaidou Hall in Tokyo, and broadcast all across Japan. Ultraman, Ultra Kaiju, and members of the Special Science Search Party all appeared on the stage with Eiji Tsuburaya, founder of Tsuburaya Productions and the special effects grandmaster whose creative vision helped create these characters.In memorial of the first introduction of the Giant of Light to public eyes, July 10 is celebrated as the Ultraman Day each year in Japan.
